About Northlake Insurance Group

In 1989, a small group of three visionary independent agents realized that for real growth, a competitive edge was needed. By leveraging the performance of their agencies, they saw value in organizing into an agency ‘cluster’ while maintaining their independence. This group is known as the Northlake Insurance Group Ltd.

The founding members of the new cluster included, Aubert Agency of Covington, Guerin Agency of Hammond, and JacksonVaughan Agency of Ponchatoula. The agencies of the ‘founding fathers’ remain active, vital, and growing as part of Northlake today.

Northlake member agencies are afforded this edge through access to markets from insurers contracted with Northlake. Northlake Insurance Group has 13 members with 26 offices around the State. Agencies of various size, serve personal and commercial clients across Louisiana. Offices can be found from Slidell across to Lake Charles, and Lafayette in the southwest, up to Bastrop and Monroe in the north.

The member agencies of Northlake Insurance write over $300 million in premiums collectively all across Louisiana as well as 10 other states. Two specific association programs are also served by Northlake.

The Northlake corporate office oversees all business functions conducted between agencies and companies. The group is guided by a board of directors which holds regular monthly meetings.

The value received by our members is evidenced by our steady growth over 35 years. The advantage of a strong central administration that can plan, manage, and negotiate for the group has stood the test of time. The reputation developed by all members is enviable. With such strengths, we continue to evolve, just as the industry evolves, in our very challenging Gulf region.
