COMPANY OVERVIEW

Aubert Insurance Agency was founded in 1910 by Robert L Aubert. Mr. Aubert eventually sold the agency to Emma Whepley Lyon and her husband Elmer E. Lyon, the longtime superintendent of Education in St. Tammany parish. The Lyon’s ran the agency until they sold it to their son, Meridith “Buster” Lyon in the 1940’s. After his death in 1976, the Hendry family purchased the agency. After 2 generations in the Hendry family, Stephen Hendry sold the agency to Kyle Beerbohm in 2023.

Aubert Insurance Agency enjoys the status of being one of the oldest insurance agencies in St. Tammany Parish and the fourth oldest business in the City of Covington Louisiana. The agency’s primary office is in historic downtown Covington, LA, with a field office in Slidell, LA.
